Watermelon Syrup

Watermelon Syrup is a simple, sweet syrup made by simmering ripe watermelon cubes with sugar and water, then straining the mixture. It offers a fresh, fruity flavor useful for enhancing drinks, desserts, or breakfast dishes. This syrup provides a balanced sweetness with a subtle watermelon essence and can be stored refrigerated for up to two weeks.

Description

Watermelon Syrup blends ripe watermelon cubes with sugar and water before gently simmering the mixture to infuse flavors. After simmering, the syrup is strained to remove pulp, resulting in a smooth, sweet liquid offering the fresh taste of watermelon. The syrup's texture is liquid and pourable, making it versatile for drizzling or mixing.

The sweetness is balanced by the natural fruit flavor, making it a pleasant addition to beverages like cocktails, iced teas, or sodas. It can also be used as a topping for ice cream, yogurt, or pancakes to add fruity notes.

Once prepared and cooled, the syrup should be stored in a sanitized container in the refrigerator where it remains fresh for up to two weeks. The strained watermelon pieces can be saved and served as a sweet garnish for desserts or breakfast dishes.
