Wendy's Baconator

Wendy's Baconator is a hearty burger featuring multiple layers of seasoned ground chuck patties, crispy bacon, and American cheese. It is assembled with mayonnaise and ketchup on lightly toasted hamburger buns. The combination of cooked bacon crisped in the oven, square-shaped grilled burgers, and melted cheese creates a rich texture and a layered flavor profile. This burger is suitable for hearty meals and can be grilled or pan-cooked with basic seasoning.

Description

The Wendy's Baconator recipe includes two pounds of ground chuck divided into eight square-shaped patties, seasoned simply with salt. Baking the bacon on a wire rack produces evenly crisp slices that contribute a smoky, crunchy contrast to the juicy burgers. The burgers are grilled or cooked in a skillet to achieve a browned exterior. Toasted hamburger buns are spread lightly with butter before assembly. The burger is built by layering ketchup and mayonnaise on the top bun, followed by bacon, cheese, a burger patty, more bacon, another cheese slice, and a second burger patty, finished with the bottom bun. This stacking order ensures each bite balances beef, cheese, bacon, and condiments evenly.
