Western Bacon Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes

Western Bacon Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes combine classic ground beef and crispy bacon with savory BBQ sauce and American cheese for a rich and hearty sandwich filling. The texture balances tender beef chunks with bits of bacon, enveloped in a thick, tangy sauce. This recipe transforms a traditional sloppy joe by adding smoky bacon and cheese layers, served on toasted sesame seed buns to capture all the saucy flavors.

Description

The Western Bacon Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes recipe starts with cooking bacon until crispy but still chewy, then finely chopped to add texture and smoky flavor throughout the dish. Ground beef is browned with onions in bacon grease, which enriches the meat’s taste. A mixture of beef broth, ketchup, hickory-flavored BBQ sauce, and Worcestershire sauce forms the sauce base, simmered until thick and sloppy.

The resulting filling offers a hearty, saucy bite with smoky and savory highlights. The coarse black pepper and kosher salt season the beef dynamically without overpowering the other flavors. Served on sesame seed hamburger buns with slices of American cheese melted on top, it delivers a satisfying balance of textures and layered flavors that make a filling meal.

This sandwich is suitable for casual dinners or lunches where a filling dish is desired. Its meaty and tangy profile offers an approachable twist on traditional sloppy joe recipes by integrating bacon and cheese.
