Whipped Feta with Honey

Whipped Feta with Honey blends feta cheese and Greek yogurt into a smooth, creamy spread accented by minced garlic and olive oil. The cheese is whipped until soft and shaped with a honey-filled center, then garnished with fresh chives, nuts, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. This results in a spreadable cheese appetizer with a balance of salty, tangy, sweet, and savory flavors.

Description

This Whipped Feta with Honey recipe uses feta cheese combined with Greek yogurt, garlic, and olive oil. The ingredients are processed until smooth and creamy, thinning the feta's crumbly texture with yogurt to create a spreadable dip. A well is fashioned in the center after whipping, filled with honey to introduce sweetness that complements the salty cheese.

The dish is finished with garnishes like fresh chopped chives, crushed pine nuts or pistachios, freshly cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes for warmth. These toppings add color, texture, and flavor contrast. The result is a versatile appetizer or spreadable cheese that can pair well with bread or vegetables.

The choice of feta affects richness and flavor intensity; block feta is preferred for texture, though crumbled can work. Variations in yogurt fat content or using dairy-free alternatives allow flexibility to dietary needs without compromising creaminess.
