White Bean Dip

White Bean Dip blends canned white beans with olive oil, lemon juice, zest, garlic, salt, and thyme to create a smooth, herb-infused spread. Processed until creamy, the dip is garnished with olive oil and thyme for extra flavor and presentation. It offers a mild, tangy taste with a velvety texture, ideal for serving with crackers or vegetable sticks as a snack or appetizer.

Description

The White Bean Dip combines a drained and rinsed can of white beans—such as cannellini, great northern, or navy beans—with olive oil, lemon juice and zest, minced garlic, salt, and fresh or dried thyme. These ingredients are processed together in a food processor until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. The dip’s tanginess comes from lemon elements, balanced by garlic’s bite and thyme’s herbal tones.

Garnishing with additional olive oil and thyme provides visual appeal as well as enhancing the flavor with rich oil and fresh herb notes. The dip serves as a versatile accompaniment to gluten-free crackers, vegetable sticks, or bread, making it appropriate for casual snacks or light appetizers.

The recipe notes that adding an extra tablespoon of olive oil can create a smoother consistency if preferred. The dip’s mild flavor and creamy texture make it adaptable to various serving choices and occasions.
