White Chocolate Puff Corn

White Chocolate Puff Corn uses plain puff corn coated with a melted mixture of white almond bark and white chocolate chips, then topped with sprinkles. The puff corn becomes sweet and creamy with a firm white chocolate coating that adds texture and a festive touch, making it suitable for snacking or party treats.

Description

This recipe starts with plain puff corn as a crunchy base, which is combined with a creamy melted blend of white almond bark and white chocolate chips. Melting the almond bark separately helps avoid scorching the chocolate since they melt at different rates. Once coated evenly, the puff corn is spread on wax paper and garnished with sprinkles, adding color and a bit of extra texture. The chocolate hardens to form a crisp coating around the light, airy puff corn pieces.

The final treat offers a contrast between the airy crunch of the puff corn and the sweet, smooth white chocolate shell. It can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week. Variations with dark chocolate have also been successful for those preferring less sweetness.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 9 oz puff corn bag
  • 1 white almond bark square
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips package
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Put the puff corn in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the square of white almond bark in double boiler. You can use the microwave if you don't have a double boiler.
  3. Add white chocolate chips to double boiler and melt, stirring occasionally.
  4. Pour white chocolate mixture over the puff corn. Stir until completely covered or put the lid on the bowl and shake like I did.
  5. Put the puff corn mixture on wax paper. Sprinkle with the sprinkles. Let sit out until the white chocolate has hardened. Store in air tight container.

Notes

  • Use plain puff corn to ensure best texture and flavor when coated with white chocolate.
  • Melt almond bark separately from white chocolate to prevent scorching, using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals.
  • Store coated puff corn in an airtight container for up to one week to maintain freshness.
  • Dark chocolate can substitute white chocolate for a different flavor profile.
