Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 cup almonds

Instructions

  1. First, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread almonds into one even layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast for 10 minutes or until almonds become fragrant.
  3. Then, add almonds to a high speed food processor or Vitamix blender.
  4. Blend on high for 10 to 15 minutes, or until almond butter consistency is achieved.
  5. About every 1 minute or so, stop blending and use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the blender.
  6. Finally, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month.

Notes

  • Serving size is 2 tablespoons almond butter.
  • Use a high speed food processor or Vitamix blender for best results.
  • I do NOT recommend a small blender for this.
  • Tip: if you have any extra almond butter laying around before making this, add a spoonful or two to the blender.  This will help the blending process immensely.
  • Continue blending until almond butter consistency is reached.
  • I have made this in both a Ninja Foodi Food Processor and a high powered blender.
  • Depending on what blender or food processor you use, this could take up to 20 minutes of blending time.
  • If your blender gets too hot while blending, stop the process and let it rest until cooled down.
  • Store almond butter in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month.
  • Refrigerating will lengthen shelf life, but the almond butter will be very thick!
  • A little oil separation is natural.
