Wings and Things Garlic Buffalo Wings
Description
The preparation begins by seasoning flour with salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper, then dredging cut chicken wings in this mixture. The wings are fried in oil heated to 350°F until they start to turn golden, which crisps the exterior. After frying, the wings are baked for about 15 minutes to guarantee they are cooked through. Meanwhile, the sauce is prepared by melting butter with Frank's Red Hot Sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until combined. The fried wings are tossed in this garlic buffalo sauce to coat thoroughly and served immediately. Traditional accompaniments include celery sticks and blue cheese dressing to balance the heat.
The combination of frying and baking yields wings that are crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and well flavored throughout. The sauce adds a tangy, garlicky, and moderately spicy finish that clings to each wing piece. Serving with creamy blue cheese dressing and crisp celery provides a cooling contrast to the spicy wings.
