Winter Fruit Salad

This Winter Fruit Salad combines crisp apples and pears with juicy clementines, kiwi slices, and pomegranate arils, tossed in a honey-lime-orange dressing. The texture contrasts between crunchy walnuts and soft fruit make it refreshing and lively. Adding fresh mint leaves introduces a subtle herbal note, making this salad a vibrant side or light dessert during winter months when fresh citrus and pomegranates are in season.

Description

Winter Fruit Salad features thinly sliced apples and Bosc pears paired with peeled and segmented clementines, kiwi rounds, and pomegranate seeds. The dressing blends warmed honey with citrus juices of lime and orange, which lightly coats the fruit and highlights seasonal flavors. Chopped walnuts add a crunchy texture, complementing the sweet and tangy medley. Optional fresh mint leaves provide a mild refreshing accent. This salad's combination of textures and bright citrus dressing deliver a crisp and juicy eating experience suitable as a crisp accompaniment or a light fruit dish in colder months. It benefits from careful slicing and gentle tossing to maintain the integrity of each fruit slice and the crunch of the nuts.
