Air Fryer Bagels Plain and Everything

These air fryer bagels are quick, easy, and delicious. Served plain or as air fryer everything bagels, this air fryer bagel recipe is perfect.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
- 1 ½ cups Greek yogurt
- 1 large egg
- splash of water
- Olive oil spray
Everything Bagel Seasoning, if using
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
- 1 ½ tablespoons garlic, minced, dried
- 1 ½ tablespoons onion flakes, dried
- 2 teaspoons sea salt, flaked
- pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
- Add the flour and the yogurt to a large bowl.
- Stir them together to form a shaggy dough. Knead the dough in the bowl with your hands until it comes together.
- Lightly flour a clean work surface and place the dough onto the workstation. Knead it a few times to bring it together into a smooth dough. The dough will be slightly sticky. Cut it into 6 sections.
- Roll the sections into 6 even-sized balls.
- Roll the balls into a long rope about 8-9 inches long.
- Pinch the ends together to form a circle.
- If your air fryer requires preheating, preheat it now to 350°F. In a small bowl, add egg and the water.
- Whisk egg and water together until blended. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
- Spray the basket of the air fryer with the olive oil spray. Place the bagels, not touching, into the bottom of the air fryer, you may need to cook in batches. Brush and cover the tops of the bagels with the egg mixture.
Plain Bagel
- Air fry for 7-8 minutes.
Everything Bagel or another flavor
- Until golden brown and cooked through.
- If adding toppings, just sprinkle the seasoning/topping on the bagels after the egg wash then air fry. You can add everything from bagel seasoning, dehydrated garlic flakes, seeds and more.
- Air fry for 7-8 minutes.
- Remove from air fryer. Serve, with or without your favorite cream cheese..
- Enjoy every bite.
Notes
- These bagels are slightly less dense than regular bagels.
