Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower Wings (5 Ingredients)

These Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower Wings coat bite-sized cauliflower florets in buffalo sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, and salt before cooking them in the air fryer until tender and slightly browned. The result is a crispy exterior with a tender interior, offering a spicy and tangy flavor profile similar to traditional buffalo wings. Served warm with a creamy dip and celery sticks, they are a flavorful vegetarian appetizer or snack.

Description

The recipe uses fresh cauliflower florets tossed with olive oil and flavorful buffalo sauce, accented by garlic powder and a pinch of salt. Air frying at 375°F crisps the cauliflower edges while keeping the inside tender, providing a satisfying texture contrast. The short cooking time preserves the vegetable's bite and maintains the sauce's vibrant zing.

Serve these wings warm alongside cool creamy dips like ranch or bleu cheese and celery stalks, mimicking a classic buffalo wing platter. This combination balances spicy heat with coolness and adds a refreshing crunch.

An optional oven method allows baking the wings at 450°F for about 25 minutes, making the recipe adaptable for those without an air fryer.

Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ head cauliflower
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce we used Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce, 120 mL
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil 30 mL
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • creamy dip to serve, creamy dip like ranch or bleu cheese
  • celery to serve, creamy dip like ranch or bleu cheese

Instructions

  1. Prep: Cut cauliflower into bite-sized florets. In a large bowl, gently stir together cauliflower and all remaining ingredients.
  2. Cook: Lightly grease your air fryer basket or rack. Arrange cauliflower in a single layer (working in batches if they don't all fit in a single layer). Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, or until fork tender and slightly browned.
  3. Serve: Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks.

Notes

  • To bake instead of air fry, cook the florets single-layered at 450°F for approximately 25 minutes until tender and browned.
  • Serve with creamy dips such as ranch or bleu cheese and celery sticks for a balanced flavor and texture experience.
