Description

The recipe uses 500 grams of cherry tomatoes, mostly halved, tossed with dried basil and olive oil, then cooked briefly at 160°C in an air fryer. Once air-fried, the tomatoes are transferred to a bowl and combined with fresh basil and mozzarella balls, resulting in a salad with warm, juicy tomato pieces and cool, creamy cheese.

Serving this salad offers a contrast between gently softened tomatoes and fresh herbal elements. The optional fresh basil adds brightness and aroma.   • 500 g cherry tomato
  • 1 Tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tsp basil dried
  • salt

  • 200 g mozzarella cheese optional, balls
  • basil optional, fresh

Instructions

  1. Cut in half about 70% of your cherry tomatoes. Load all the cherry tomatoes into a mixing bowl along with the dried basil and extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Mix well with your hands and load into the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes at 160c/320f.
  4. Once warmed up load your air fryer cherry tomatoes into a salad bowl.
  5. Add in thinly shredded fresh basil and mini mozzarella cheese balls.
  6. Mix and serve or store into containers for later.

Notes

  • This salad serves 3-4 people and can be scaled for larger gatherings.
  • Halving about 70% of the tomatoes helps soften flavors while keeping some texture contrast.
