Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the chicken thighs, ketchup, baking powder, tomato paste, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Toss everything together until the chicken thighs are well coated all over.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F degrees and cook for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping once halfway through. The chicken thighs are done when an instant read thermometer inserted into the thicket past of the thigh reads 165°F. (Or you can cook at 400°F for 7 to 10 minutes.)
Notes
- Boneless Chicken Thighs: Boneless thighs take a little less time to cook. For boneless chicken thighs, cook in an air fryer at 380°F for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Storage: Store leftover chicken thighs in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F until warmed through.
- Check for doneness: Cooking times can vary depending on your air fryer. Always use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Chicken is cooked through when as instant read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken reads 165°F.
