Ingredients
Pizza Rolls
- 8 mini brioche buns whole buns, see note
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
- 8 salami slices (optional)
Garlic Butter
- 1/2 cup melted butter unsalted
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan fresh
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup herbs minced oregano, basil and thyme (or your favorite)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt and pepper
Notes
- I love my air fryer as I cook almost everything in it, however I can say that reheating pizza in the air fryer is MY absolute favorite way to reheat pizza! Select the reheat function (or bake if you don't have reheat) and set the temperature to 350 degrees F . Pace the pizza in the air fryer and select time for 2-3 minutes (depending on how many slices you have inside).
- You can easily prepare your pizza rolls ahead of time, then freeze the buns in the freezer for later use. When you're ready to cook them, just pop them in the air fryer -adding an extra 2 minutes.
- I like to serve my air fryer pizza rolls with my
- no bake pizza sauce
- . This simple, easy sauce takes just minutes to make and tastes delicious with these pizza rolls. Another great side dish is a fresh salad!
- You can store your pizza rolls in the fridge if you have any leftovers, just ensure they are in an air-tight container. They will last for a day or two. You use the air fryer or oven to reheat them.
- Yes, you can. Just leave out the garlic in the butter mixture, and they will still taste delicious!
- Use a soft brioche like bun for this recipe and make sure it's not pre-cut.
- Slice two slits using a sharp serrated knife but make sure you leave the bun intact.
- You can never have enough cheese for this recipe!
- Play around with different cheeses, I've used a combo of mozzarella, provolone and Monterey jack.
- Add extra spice to the garlic mixture, or extra herbs or basil pesto- use this Basil Pesto Guide for everything you need to know on making basil pesto at home!
- Use olive oil instead of butter if you'd like for the garlic mixture. My favorite olive oil is the Moroccan olive oil which I use in this Olive Oil Cake and Tuna Salad Recipe with Olive Oil Dressing.
- Make sure the rolls are in a single layer in your air fryer basket. You don't need to line the basket with any parchment or foil.
- Watch closely as they need between 5-7 minutes.
- Serve right away with Pizza Sauce!
- Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer (below).
- Freeze the rolls (raw) and add an extra 2 minutes when cooking. Alternatively you can freeze cooked rolls and defrost before reheating (below).

- You actually don't! The way air fryer works is magical! It heats up in seconds compared to conventional ovens which require 10 minutes or so.
