Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

Air Fryer Pizza Rolls use ready-made pizza dough filled with tomato sauce, pepperoni, and shredded mozzarella cheese, rolled and brushed with a garlic butter mixture. The rolls cook to a crispy, golden exterior with melted cheese inside. They serve as a handheld snack or appetizer, easy to prepare with a crisp texture from air frying.

Description

This recipe prepares pizza rolls by dividing pizza dough into strips, spreading tomato sauce, topping with pepperoni pieces and shredded mozzarella, then rolling each strip tightly. The rolls are brushed with melted butter mixed with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, optionally topped with shredded cheddar cheese, and cooked seam side down in an air fryer lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Cooking at 375°F for 10-15 minutes crisps the exterior while melting the cheese inside. The combination of tangy tomato sauce, cured pepperoni, and gooey mozzarella inside a golden, slightly crispy dough creates a familiar pizza flavor in a portable form. These can be dipped in marinara sauce for serving.

For best results, preheat the air fryer and avoid overcrowding to allow space for dough expansion. Adjust sauce quantity carefully to prevent oozing during rolling. The recipe also works in a conventional oven using the same cooking times and temperatures. Pizza rolls can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before cooking.

How To Make Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

  2. Divide the ready-rolled dough into 8 equal strips, dust some flour onto the dough to keep it from sticking if needed.

  7. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, until it has crisped up to your desire.
  8. When your pizza rolls are done, let them cool to touch before serving with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • Preheat the air fryer to ensure even cooking and better crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow dough to expand and crisp properly.
  • Use pizza sauce, plain tomato sauce, or your preferred pasta sauce, but avoid overfilling to prevent leaking.
  • Place parchment paper in the air fryer basket to prevent sticking or lightly oil the basket.
  • Allow pizza rolls to cool slightly before handling to let fillings settle.
  • This recipe can also be baked in a conventional oven following the same temperature and timing.
  • Prepare rolls ahead and refrigerate if needed before cooking.
