Air Fryer Ravioli
Description
This recipe prepares ravioli by dipping each piece first in beaten eggs, then in a mixture of seasoned breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, basil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. This creates a well-seasoned crust when cooked. Using either fresh or thawed frozen ravioli provides tender inside texture after cooking.
Cooking in a preheated air fryer at 400°F crisps the breaded ravioli in about 4-5 minutes per batch. Lightly spraying them with cooking spray helps achieve an even golden crust without deep frying. The process is repeated for all ravioli pieces and they are kept warm under foil during cooking.
Served immediately, these crispy ravioli bites pair well with fresh parsley or basil and a side of marinara sauce for dipping. They can be offered as an appetizer or part of an Italian-themed spread with breadsticks or other small dishes.
The recipe notes that thawing frozen ravioli before breading is necessary for even cooking. Any type of ravioli filling can be used according to preference.
