Air Fryer Teriyaki Chicken Bowls
Description
The recipe begins by marinating chicken breasts in teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes to infuse flavor. Thinly sliced zucchini and bell peppers, along with raw carrot chips, provide varied texture and freshness. After marinating, chicken is cut into pieces and combined with vegetables and more teriyaki marinade, ensuring an even coating. Cooking in the air fryer at 360°F for 20 minutes with intermittent shaking allows the chicken to cook through while vegetables soften slightly but maintain their shape.
This combination results in a dish where tender teriyaki-glazed chicken contrasts with lightly cooked vegetables, offering both savory and sweet notes. Serving over rice creates a complete meal, and garnishes like green onion and sesame seeds add freshness and mild crunch.
Variations are encouraged; additional vegetables such as baby corn, snap peas, green beans, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, water chestnuts, or celery can be added or swapped according to preference, allowing customization while using the same air-frying technique.
