Almond Flour Waffles

Almond Flour Waffles use almond flour and almond milk to create tender, golden waffles with a subtle nutty flavor. The batter is flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, and sweetened with maple syrup. Cooking in a waffle iron yields a crispy exterior and soft interior. These waffles are perfect topped with fresh fruit, syrup, or nut butter.

Description

To make Almond Flour Waffles, a batter is mixed from almond flour, eggs, almond milk, melted coconut or avocado oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. The wet and dry ingredients are combined gently to avoid overmixing.

Cooked in a preheated waffle iron sprayed with cooking spray, the waffles brown golden in about 3-4 minutes. The use of almond flour provides moistness and a tender crumb, while cinnamon and vanilla add warm flavor notes. The resulting waffles are crisp on the outside yet soft inside.

They can be served with a variety of toppings like maple syrup, fresh berries, nut butters, or banana slices to complement the subtle sweetness. The recipe is suitable for those favoring grain-free and gluten-free breakfast options.
