Amazing Mustard Chicken Tenders

These chicken tenders are strips of chicken breast coated with mustard, dredged in flour and egg, then fried until cooked with a slightly crispy exterior. The mustard adds a subtle tang and moisture to the chicken. This method produces tender, flavorful tenders suitable as a snack or main dish, served with condiments like ketchup or mustard sauce.

Description

Amazing Mustard Chicken Tenders deliver juicy chicken strips enhanced by a thin mustard layer which adds brightness and helps retain moisture during frying. The chicken is cut into half-inch thick strips, tenderized lightly, then seasoned with salt and pepper before applying mustard. After dredging in flour and dipping into beaten eggs, they are fried in vegetable oil over medium heat for a few minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.

The frying creates a crispy crust that contrasts with the tender, juicy interior. These tenders are versatile for casual meals or appetizers, and the choice of dipping sauces like ketchup or mustard complements the mild tang from the mustard coating. They're quick to prepare and can accompany various side dishes.

To serve, drain excess oil with paper towels. These tenders work well paired with crisp salads, fries, or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal. Their straightforward preparation requires minimal ingredients, emphasizing the mustard flavor without overwhelming the chicken's taste.
