Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal
Description
This Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal recipe blends oats, ground cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and diced apples with a wet mixture of almond milk, unsweetened applesauce, maple syrup, melted butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. The combined batter is poured into a greased baking dish and baked at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes until set and lightly browned on top.
The baked oatmeal has a tender, moist crumb with the fruity bite of apples and warm spice from the cinnamon. The texture balances the chew of oats with the softness of cooked fruit. Maple syrup and applesauce add natural sweetness while the butter contributes richness.
Served warm, it can be topped with whipped cream, yogurt, nut butter, extra maple syrup, or additional fruit. The recipe can be doubled and baked in a larger pan without altering the flavor.
