Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza

Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza features a thin crust brushed with pesto, fresh mozzarella, sliced pear, and peppery arugula. After a short initial bake, the pizza is topped with prosciutto and drizzled with balsamic and white balsamic reductions. The pear adds a subtle sweetness balancing the saltiness of the prosciutto, while the balsamic reductions contribute a tangy finish. This pizza combines fresh and savory flavors with a crisp yet tender crust.

Description

The Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza starts with a pre-baked pizza dough that provides a golden, slightly crisp base. Spread with a layer of pesto, fresh mozzarella slices add creamy richness, while thinly sliced pear contributes a mild sweetness and firm texture. Fresh arugula is added before a final short baking to slightly wilt the greens and melt the cheese. After baking, thin prosciutto slices are layered on top, lending a salty, delicate flavor. Drizzles of both balsamic and white balsamic reductions add a tangy, syrupy complexity and a dash of fresh cracked pepper finishes the dish.

This pizza is best served immediately after baking to enjoy the combination of warm, melted cheese and fresh, cool toppings. Its balanced flavors make it suitable for a light lunch or appetizer. The interplay between sweet pear and savory prosciutto defines its distinctive profile.
