Asiago Beer Bread

Asiago Beer Bread combines all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt with freshly grated Asiago cheese and beer to create a flavorful, moist bread. The batter is poured into a loaf pan, topped with melted butter, then baked until golden and set. The result is a tender, cheesy bread with a subtle beer aroma and crusty top, ideal for slicing and serving warm.

Description

Asiago Beer Bread uses a combination of flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar, blended with sharp Asiago cheese and beer, which provides natural leavening and flavor depth. The beer’s carbonation helps the bread rise while adding a mild yeasty note that complements the cheese’s savory sharpness. Pouring melted butter over the batter before baking creates a glossy, golden crust that contrasts with the soft interior.

The bread is baked in a 9x5-inch loaf pan, producing a sturdy loaf that can be sliced once fully cooled. The Asiago cheese within the batter adds bursts of salty, nutty flavor, while the bread’s moist texture makes it suitable for a range of uses, from breakfast toast to accompaniment for soups and salads.
