Asian Coleslaw with Ramen Noodles

Asian Coleslaw with Ramen Noodles combines shredded cabbage, chopped green onions, toasted almonds, and slivered sunflower seeds with crushed ramen noodles. The dressing mixes soy sauce, red wine vinegar, peanut oil, and the ramen seasoning packet, lending a tangy, salty, and nutty flavor. The result is a textured, crunchy salad suitable as a refreshing side or light meal component.

Description

This Asian Coleslaw blends the crunch of shredded cabbage and green onions with the nutty flavors of toasted almonds and sunflower seeds. The crushed ramen noodles add an unexpected crispness and structure to the salad. Toasting the almonds in butter brings out their flavor and adds richness.

The dressing, made from soy sauce, red wine vinegar, peanut oil, and the reserved ramen seasoning packet, delivers a balance of salty, tangy, and savory notes that coat the vegetables and nuts evenly. Tossing everything together just before serving ensures the noodles and nuts retain their crunch.

Chilling the coleslaw prior to serving helps meld flavors and provide a refreshing temperature contrast for warmer dishes. This salad pairs well with grilled meats or as part of a picnic or potluck spread where a textured vegetable side is desired.
