Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe avocado peeled and pitted
  • 2 to 3 medium garlic cloves
  • ½ cup of Italian parsley
  • 3 chives
  • 2 tablespoons of mint
  • 2 tablespoons of basil
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of agave or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • juice of ½ lime
  • Pinch of salt
  • Crushed red pepper flakes for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients into a food processor or high-speed blender, and blend on high until completely creamy.

Notes

  • Frugal tip: Growing a small herb garden is a great way to save money and always have herbs to hand. Pick off the leaves you need and allow them to replenish. Freeze any excess in a little water or oil.
  • Adjust the consistency: Add water depending on your desired consistency. I.e., thick to spread or dip, thinner to drizzle and for dressings, etc.
