Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing

This avocado salad dressing packs a punch of flavor from the cilantro and lime. It's full of healthy fat from the avocado and adds a delicious Southwestern twist to any salad!

Ingredients

  • 1 large avocado ripe
  • 1 cup buttermilk more to reach the desired consistency
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dill fresh
  • 1 lime juice of
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh from the skin.
  2. Add to a blender along with all of the other ingredients.
  3. Blend together until smooth and creamy. Taste and season with additional salt or lime juice, as needed.
  4. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
  5. Keeps in the fridge for 3 days.

Notes

  • This dressing will be pretty thick as written. Add additional buttermilk or water to thin it out to reach your desired consistency. We like it thick for a dip, but thin it out a bit to use as a dressing for salad.
