Baked Asparagus with Parmesan

Baked Asparagus with Parmesan is a minimum effort, fast and delicious side dish. A 6-ingredient Garlic Parmesan Asparagus with crunchy breadcrumbs that is ready in less than 20 minutes and is perfect for holidays and lazy midweek dinners alike.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 lb trimmed asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon of Brazilian sofrito or minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup homemade breadcrumbs or panko
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425F.
  2. Arrange the asparagus in a baking sheet and drizzle with just a little olive oil.
  3. In a bowl, mix the Brazilian sofrito, the parmesan, the breadcrumbs and the tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture on top of the asparagus, and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with a bit more parmesan cheese, if desired.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Rotate the pan halfway through the bake.
