Baked Italian Meatballs

Baked Italian Meatballs combine ground beef and Italian sausage seasoned with garlic, onion, Italian herbs, and a touch of heat from crushed red pepper and hot sauce. Parmesan cheese and seasoned breadcrumbs bind the mixture, and baking at 400°F yields browned meatballs with a tender interior. Baking simplifies cleanup and delivers a flavorful, hands-off approach to a classic meatball.

Description

This recipe mixes ground beef and Italian sausage with finely chopped onion and minced garlic, seasoned with Italian seasoning herbs and a dash of crushed red pepper and hot sauce for subtle spiciness. The addition of Worcestershire sauce, milk, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs creates a moist and flavorful meatball mixture.

Once combined with an egg and parsley, the mixture is shaped into tablespoon-sized meatballs and arranged on a baking sheet. Baking at 400°F for about 20 minutes allows them to brown evenly and cook through without frying. This method avoids additional oil and keeps preparation tidy.

These baked meatballs can be served with marinara or other favorite sauces and are suitable for pasta dishes, sandwiches, or appetizers.
