Balsamic Honey Grilled Brussels Sprouts

Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with a balsamic honey glaze, these grilled brussels sprouts are the best side dish for summer and early fall! The amazing tangy flavor and tender, caramelized texture of these brussels sprouts will make even the pickiest of eaters a fan.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussel sprouts
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinch of crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium high heat.
  2. Cut the bottoms of the Brussel sprouts off.
  3. Place them in a large bowl and fill with water until they are covered.
  4. Microwave for 5 minutes or until they become slightly soft, then strain out the water.
  5. In a small bowl whisk together the honey, balsamic, olive oil, garlic, and salt and pepper.
  6. Pour the sauce over the brussel sprouts, then thread them onto the skewers.
  7. Add to the grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side, while basting the extra sauce on.
  8. Serve immediately.
