Blackened Cajun Shrimp Tacos with Avocado Salsa

These tacos showcase blackened Cajun-spiced shrimp cooked quickly in olive oil, paired with a fresh avocado salsa made of tomatoes, corn, black beans, red onion, avocado, cilantro, and lime juice. The dish balances smoky, spicy shrimp with a bright, chunky salsa served on warm flour tortillas. Optional feta cheese adds a creamy, tangy topping, making for a flavorful and textured taco perfect for casual meals.

Description

Blackened Cajun Shrimp Tacos with Avocado Salsa begin by coating peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp in Cajun seasoning, then pan-searing them in olive oil until just cooked and slightly charred. This method imparts smoky Cajun spice flavor and a tender shrimp texture.

The accompanying avocado salsa mixes diced Roma tomatoes, corn kernels, black beans, diced red onion, avocado chunks, chopped cilantro, and lime juice, seasoned with salt and pepper. This salsa adds freshness, creaminess, and a variety of textures that complement the spicy shrimp.

The components are assembled in flour tortillas, layered with salsa and shrimp, and optionally topped with crumbled feta cheese for extra tang. The tacos offer a balance of spicy, smoky shrimp and bright, creamy salsa in each bite, making them suitable for flavorful weeknight dinners or gatherings.

This dish is best served immediately after assembly to maintain the textures and prevent tortillas from becoming soggy.
