This easy-to-make blue cheese butter recipe is the perfect full-flavored creamy topping for your favorite steak dish.

Ingredients
- 2 ticks softened unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- juice of 1/2 lemon about 1 to 1/2 tablespoons
- coarse salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add the lemon juice, blue cheese crumbles, softened butter, and salt and pepper to a medium-sized bowl.
- Using a whisk, mix everything together until combined.
- Adjust the seasonings with salt and pepper.
- Store the butter or serve it. Try spreading some on my filet mignon recipe.
Notes
- Make-Ahead: You can make this up to 5 days ahead of time. Keep it in the refrigerator or freezer until you are ready to use it.
- How to Store: Place it in a container with a lid or rolled in parchment paper and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Cover and freeze it for up to 6 months.
- You can use other fresh herbs such as parsley, oregano, basil, thyme, chervil, or rosemary.
- Feel free to add some minced raw or roasted garlic for enhanced flavors.
- If you love blue cheese flavor, you can absolutely add more.
- You can also make this recipe in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or using electric hand beaters
