Blue Cheese Dressing
Description
This Blue Cheese Dressing recipe uses buttermilk and crumbled blue cheese mashed together for a creamy base, then incorporates Greek yogurt and mayonnaise for richness and smoothness. White wine vinegar adds acidity while sugar balances the sharp notes of the cheese. Finishing with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper rounds out the flavor.
The dressing is refrigerated for 2 to 3 hours to allow the flavors to meld and thicken slightly. The green onion garnish adds mild onion flavor and a fresh visual touch. The texture is creamy yet has small chunks of blue cheese dispersed throughout.
This dressing works well on green salads or as a dip for vegetables and wings, offering a classic, familiar blue cheese profile with a balance of tang and creaminess that is achievable at home.
