Blue Cheese Dressing
Description
Blue Cheese Dressing is made by combining sour cream, mayonnaise, and buttermilk to create a smooth base. Finely minced shallot contributes a mild onion flavor. Worcestershire sauce adds depth, while granulated sugar balances the tanginess. Salt and black pepper provide seasoning, and freshly squeezed lemon juice brightens the flavors.
Blue cheese crumbles are gently folded in to introduce characteristic sharpness and creamy texture. Chopped parsley adds a fresh herbal note. The dressing is refrigerated for at least 30 minutes to let the ingredients meld, producing a balanced and creamy sauce.
This dressing is suitable for salads, vegetables, or as a dip, and can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days after preparation.
