Breakfast Bake

Report
The Breakfast Bake layers crescent roll dough with turkey sausage, eggs mixed with milk and seasonings, diced green bell pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese. This combination yields a savory, egg-forward casserole with a flaky crust and hearty texture suitable for a morning meal. The flavors balance mild sausage, creamy eggs, and melty cheese.

Description

Breakfast Bake begins with pre-cooked turkey sausage sliced and spread over a base of crescent roll dough pressed into a greased 9x13-inch pan. A mixture of beaten eggs, milk, diced green bell pepper, oregano, salt, and black pepper is whisked and poured evenly over the sausage layer. Finally, shredded cheddar cheese is sprinkled on top before baking.

Baking at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes cooks the eggs fully, firms the casserole, and browns the crescent roll crust edges. The crescent dough forms a soft, flaky bottom crust that supports the moist egg and sausage filling. The cheddar cheese melts to create a savory topping with color and flavor contrast.

This bake serves well for breakfast or brunch, providing a filling and balanced dish that combines protein, dairy, and carbs in a single pan. Slicing after resting allows clean serving pieces and improves texture.
