Breakfast Sausage Gravy Sloppy Joes
Description
Breakfast Sausage Gravy Sloppy Joes combine cooked pork breakfast sausage thickened with flour, cream cheese, and milk into a rich gravy. The sausages are cooked and then mixed with seasonings before thickening to achieve a creamy texture. Scrambled eggs cooked with butter add fluffiness and a mild flavor, balanced with slices of American cheese. Crispy tater tots provide a contrasting crunch and are layered inside a hamburger bun along with a spread of ketchup for added tanginess.
The preparation involves cooking the sausage thoroughly, adding the gravy components to achieve the right consistency, and scrambling eggs with gentle heat to keep them tender. Assembling the sandwich involves layering the eggs, cheese, sausage gravy, tater tots, and ketchup on the bun, creating combined textures and flavors.
This filling sandwich is ideal for breakfast or brunch when a mix of savory, creamy, and crispy elements is welcome. The tater tots make it more substantial and add a unique twist to classic sloppy joe style sandwiches.
