Broccoli Salad with Sunflower Seeds and Bacon

Broccoli Salad with Sunflower Seeds and Bacon is a crunchy, fresh salad featuring bite-sized broccoli florets, red onion, celery, sunflower seeds, crispy bacon, and optional raisins. The rich mayonnaise dressing is sweetened with sugar and balanced with white vinegar, black pepper, and salt, giving the salad a creamy and tangy finish. It makes a hearty side dish that pairs well with grilled meats or picnics.

Description

This salad mixes chopped fresh broccoli florets with finely diced red onion and celery for crisp texture contrasts. Sunflower seeds add nutty crunch, while crumbled bacon contributes savory, smoky depth. Optional raisins or craisins offer a touch of sweetness that complements the tangy mayonnaise-based dressing, sweetened slightly with granulated sugar and brightened with white vinegar. The salad is tossed together just before serving or can be chilled for a while to meld the flavors. It showcases a balance of crisp vegetables and rich elements through straightforward preparation.
