Brown Sugar Roasted Carrots
Description
This recipe starts by preheating the oven to 415°F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. The glaze ingredients are combined, forming a mixture of fats, sweeteners, and spices that coat the carrot pieces. The carrots are sliced diagonally into 2-inch pieces and thoroughly mixed with the glaze to ensure even coverage.
Carrots are arranged in a single layer on the baking sheet and roasted for about 30 minutes total, turning halfway through. The roasting process softens the carrots until fork-tender and caramelizes the glaze creating a glossy coating with a mild smoky sweetness from paprika and warmth from garlic powder.
Serving these carrots warm with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley adds color and a slight herbal note, making them a flavorful side suitable for many meals.
