Ingredients
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp white sugar (organic for vegan-friendly)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp canola oil or substitute sunflower or coconut oil
- 2 tbsp milk or substitute dairy free milk
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp walnuts chopped

Instructions
- Place dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder) in a large microwave-safe mug. Whisk to combine.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract, and stir to combine well.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Place mug in the microwave and cook for 60 seconds on high power.
- Check your mug brownie. If it's still wet, cook in the microwave for another 30 seconds. If it's just a bit raw in the center after the first 60 seconds, that’s perfect! If you keep cooking your brownie after this point, it could end up being overcooked and dry.
Notes
- You can make a dairy-free version of this mug cake by swapping the milk for almond or soy milk.
