Buffalo Chicken Dip

If you want to make a meaty, creamy, cheesy and spicy Buffalo Chicken Dip that does not call for canned ingredients or bottled salad dressing, this recipe is for you! All you need are 7 ingredients and about 30 minutes to make this decadent dip. The real question is: what are you making it for and who are you sharing it with?

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 4 oz. sour cream
  • ½ cup Wing Sauce 5 oz.
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 lb. shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 1 cup chopped green onions about 6 large

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Spray an 8” square casserole dish with nonstick baking spray, and set aside.
  2. Measure the cream cheese, sour cream and wing sauce in pan. Heat over medium heat until the cream cheese has completely melted and the ingredients have come together.
  3. Measure in 1 cup of the cheese, as well as the garlic powder. Stir to combine and cook until melted.
  4. Add in the shredded chicken and ¾ cup of green onions. Stir to incorporate, then transfer to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheese on top of the dip.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with the remaining ¼ cup of green onions. Serve with your favorite crackers, chips or veggies. We liked tortilla chips, baguette rounds and celery sticks for this particular dip.

Notes

  • Easy entertaining tip: Make this dip in advance and store it in the fridge in its baking dish for a few days before baking it off and sharing it.
  • How to store: Save leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 5-6 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
