Ingredients
- 1 brick (8 oz) cream cheese softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2-4 tablespoon buffalo sauce depends on how spicy you prefer
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 can (10 oz) chicken flaked
- 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach defrosted
- ½ cup green onions chopped
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo sauce, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Add chicken, spinach, and green onions. Stir until well-combined.
- This dip can be served warm or cold. If you prefer warm, microwave it in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until it reaches the temp you desire.
- Serve warm or cold with crackers, carrots, or celery. I highly recommend baking and serving this dip at least once. So good.
Bake
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Fill an oven-safe dish with dip, cover with layer of shredded cheddar and/or jack cheeses, if desired, and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the top starts to turn golden and the dip is bubbly. Broil for 2-3 minutes after baking to crisp and darken top layer of cheese.
Notes
- Thaw your frozen spinach in advance and squeeze out excess moisture with paper towel before combining with other ingredients to prevent a watery dip.
- Baking your dip? Use a cast-iron or ovenproof skillet for even heat distribution and heat retention.
- Keep an eye on your dip if you choose to bake it as ovens can vary in temperature especially while broiling.
- Use an electric mixer to blend for smoother consistency.
