Burrata Salad with Pear and Prosciutto

Burrata Salad with Pear and Prosciutto combines fresh sliced pears, creamy burrata cheese, and delicate slices of prosciutto. The salad is accented by pomegranate arils, chopped mint, and pistachios and dressed with a mixture of olive oil, rice vinegar, pomegranate molasses, salt, and pepper. These ingredients create a balance of sweet, creamy, salty, and tangy flavors in a light composed salad.

Description

This salad features layers of thinly sliced pears carefully arranged on a platter, topped with thin slices of prosciutto and torn chunks of burrata cheese. The addition of pomegranate seeds offers bursts of tartness and color, while chopped mint and pistachios provide freshness and crunch.

The dressing combines extra virgin olive oil with rice vinegar and pomegranate molasses, sweetened slightly and seasoned with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Drizzled over the salad, it ties the elements together with a subtle tang and richness.

This dish works well as a starter or a light lunch, showcasing a combination of textures and flavors that range from creamy to crisp and from sweet to savory. The use of burrata adds a luscious creaminess that contrasts with the fruity pears and salty prosciutto.
