  • 8 ounces chocolate bark roughly chopped
  • 2 cups melting caramels such as individually wrapped Kraft Baking Caramels or Kraft Caramel Bits

Instructions

  1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Add the dark chocolate chips and chocolate bark to a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each one, until the chocolate is smooth and melted.
  3. Spread the chocolate into a ¼” thick layer on the prepared baking sheet and place the chocolate in the fridge to chill while you prepare the caramel.
  4. Add the melting caramels and heavy cream to a small saucepan set over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring often, until the caramel is smooth and melted, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in 2 cups of the green apple.
  6. Spread the caramel apple mixture over the chilled chocolate layer and then sprinkle it with the remaining ½ cup diced apple, plus the mini pretzels and sea salt flakes.
  7. Return the bark to the fridge and chill until the caramel is firmly set, 1-2 hours.
  8. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days - just know that the textures of the fresh apple and crispy pretzels will diminish with time.
