This delicious charred green onion herb butter is delicious. You'll want to spread it or mix it into everything!

Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 bunch of green onion
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ¼ tsp. cracked black pepper

- Clean and remove the ends of the green onion sprigs, and set aside.
- Place a pan over medium-high heat and add the prepared green onion.
- Cook until the green onion is roasted on all sides. About 5 – 10 minutes.
- Remove the green onions from heat and allow to cool on a cutting board.
- Once cooled, finely chop the green onion and add to a medium-sized bowl.
- Add the softened butter and spices, and mix well until combined.
- Transfer the butter onto a sheet of parchment paper and roll into a log.
- Freeze or refrigerate until ready to use! This is the perfect thing to add and spice up any dish!
Notes
- Notes You can roast or char different items of your choice to add to the butter- like olives, garlic, veggies, or herbs. You can use vegan butter for this recipe also! Add any spices you desire! This is a base recipe to give you some ideas, the possibilities are endless! You can make compound butter with just spices or only one ingredient, OR you can add lots! Use the compound butter for pasta, toast, popcorn, or just anything!!! Store the compound butter in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 months or in the refrigerator for up to 4 months!
