Cheeseburger Soup

Cheeseburger Soup combines browned ground beef with diced onions, celery, and potatoes in a rich, cheesy broth. The addition of Velveeta cheese creates a smooth, creamy texture, while cooked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese used as garnish add savory depth. The soup simmers until potatoes are tender, resulting in a comforting bowl that captures familiar cheeseburger flavors in a warm, hearty form.

Description

Cheeseburger Soup starts by browning ground beef, then sautéing onions and celery in butter with parsley flakes for added aroma. Potatoes, canned diced tomatoes, broth, and cooked beef are simmered until tender. A butter and flour roux thickens the soup before milk and Velveeta cheese melt in to create a creamy base. Finally, sour cream is blended in for subtle tanginess, and the soup is garnished with crisp bacon pieces and shredded cheddar.

The soup offers a rich blend of textures, combining tender vegetable chunks and creamy cheese with savory meat flavors. The use of Velveeta cheese helps achieve a smooth, velvety consistency that holds well with the hearty ingredients.

Serve the soup hot, topped with the bacon and cheddar as suggested. It is satisfying on its own or can be paired with a simple salad or crusty bread for a fuller meal.
