Cheesy Texas Trash Dip

Cheesy Texas Trash Dip is a warm, layered dish combining softened cream cheese, sour cream, refried beans, chopped green chiles, taco seasoning, and a generous amount of shredded Mexican cheese blend. Baked until bubbly and golden, it is topped with green onions and sliced black olives. This dip is rich, creamy, and flavorful, ideal for serving with tortilla chips.

Description

This dip mixes softened cream cheese and sour cream as a creamy base that is blended smoothly, then combined with refried beans and chopped green chiles which add savory body and subtle heat. Taco seasoning introduces a blend of spices typical of Tex-Mex cuisine, complemented by a significant portion of shredded cheese to create a melty, savory texture throughout.

After spreading into a baking dish, more shredded cheese is sprinkled on top before baking to form a golden, melted crust. Garnishes of chopped green onion and black olives add fresh and briny notes against the rich filling.

The dish is served hot, ideal for dipping chips at gatherings or as a snack. It balances creamy, cheesy, and spiced elements in a layered dip format commonly enjoyed in Texan-style party fare.
