Chocolate Chip M & M Cookies
Report
These chewy and thick chocolate chip M&M cookies are deliciously chocolatey, with plenty of chocolate chips and M&Ms mixed through the dough which adds loads of flavor and pretty pops of color, not to mention that yummy M&M taste and texture. A mixture of mini & standard M&Ms are used in these cookies, although any variety could be used.

Ingredients
- ½ cup butter melted
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup M&Ms
- ¼ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°c. Line 2 x baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- Add the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar to the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat on a high speed with a flat beater attachment until pale and creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Beat on a medium speed until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl with a silicone spatula as necessary.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, and mix on a low speed until just combined and a dough has formed. Use your hands or spatula to gently mix through the chocolate chips and M&Ms.
- Use a cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto the baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes, or until just set on the outside but still very soft. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes before allowing to finish cooling on rack.
Notes
- • This dough will be a very soft dough, however if the dough is too sticky, add a small amount of additional all purpose flour.• These cookies will be very soft while still warm, allow to cool completely before moving from the cookies sheets.• It’s better to slightly undercook these cookies rather than overcook.
- Storage
- Store these cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- These cookies are suitable for freezing. Freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before enjoying. The unbaked cookie dough is also suitable for freezing.
