Chunky Monkey Protein Smoothie
Description
The Chunky Monkey Protein Smoothie combines banana, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and unsweetened vanilla cashew milk to create a thick, creamy drink. The frozen banana adds natural sweetness and body, while the peanut butter contributes a nutty richness. Blending these ingredients together results in a dense texture that makes the smoothie filling. The pinch of salt enhances the chocolate and peanut flavors. The optional chocolate chips add a pleasant crunch as a finishing touch.
This smoothie can be served immediately as a nutritious breakfast or snack. Its hearty texture and balanced ingredients make it a good fit for those seeking a protein boost with a chocolate-peanut butter taste profile. The use of plant milk keeps the smoothie dairy-free, though substitutions are possible.
The notes suggest omitting protein powder and using Greek yogurt for children, which will change thickness and taste but still provide enjoyment. Unsweetened vanilla almond milk and sugar-free protein powder maintain low sugar levels. Whey protein is preferred for flavor and texture, but vegan protein powder can also be used. Nutrition details depend on protein powder type.
