This cilantro lime sauce recipe comes together in under 5 minutes and is loaded with delicious flavors for the perfect sour cream topping.

Ingredients
- 16 ounces sour cream full-fat
- 1 cup cilantro packed leaves and stems
- lime juice about ¼ cup, juice of 2 limes
- ½ cup green onion only the green parts, thickly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves
- ¼ cup milk whole
- 2 teaspoons white distilled vinegar
- ½ avocado peeled and pitted
- salt coarse and freshly cracked, to taste
- black pepper coarse and freshly cracked, to taste
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a blender.
- Blend on high until the sauce is smooth.
- Adjust the seasonings with salt, pepper, and lime juice. Store or serve.
Notes
- Make-Ahead: You can make this up to 2 days ahead of time.
- How to Store: Cover and keep the avocado crema in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
- You can also make this recipe in a food processor by adding everything in and processing at high speed until smooth.
- Try adding 1 seeded serrano or jalapeño pepper for some spice.
- You can substitute the vinegar with more lime juice if you want.
