Cinnamon Honey Butter

Cinnamon Honey Butter is a homemade spread made by whipping heavy cream until it forms fresh butter, then blended with raw honey and cinnamon powder. The resulting butter is smooth and slightly sweet with warm cinnamon notes. This butter spread can be used as a topping for bread, biscuits, or other baked goods, delivering a creamy and subtly spiced flavor.

Description

The recipe begins by pouring heavy whipping cream into a glass jar and shaking it vigorously until the cream thickens and separates into solid butter and liquid buttermilk. Resting between shakes helps the process, which can also be done with an electric mixer. Once butter solids form, draining the liquid thoroughly is important to maintain a smooth texture.

The fresh butter is then mixed with raw honey and cinnamon powder to add sweetness and warmth. The cinnamon flavor complements the natural creaminess and mild sweetness of the honey, resulting in a balanced and rich butter spread ideal for breakfasts or snacks.

This butter works well as a topping on warm breads or pancakes and offers a homemade alternative to commercial flavored butters. The gentle shaking method allows for control over texture and freshness.

Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons honey raw
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder

Instructions

  1. Pour ½ cup of heavy whipping cream into a small glass jar. Then, tighten the lid.
  2. Shake it for a few minutes (shake it until you cannot hear the liquid sound). Then, rest for a couple minutes.
  3. After that, keep shaking it again for a few minutes until it forms a big yellow solid chunk. (You can use an electric mixer to make the butter.)
  4. Next, separate the liquid and the butter. Remember to drain the butter very well.
  5. In a bowl, put the butter, ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 2 tablespoons of raw honey and mix it well.

Notes

  • Use a small glass jar for shaking heavy cream or an electric mixer to make fresh butter.
  • Shake the cream until the liquid sound stops, then rest and shake again to separate butter and buttermilk.
  • Drain the liquid well from the butter to achieve the right consistency for mixing.
  • Mix cinnamon powder and raw honey into the fresh butter thoroughly for even flavor distribution.
