Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie

This amazing Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie is absolutely the perfect Fall dessert and so easy to make. The cinnamon roll topping takes traditional apple pie to a whole new level!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 5 cups chopped apples peeled
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter cubed
  • 1 premade pie crust
  • 1 package cinnamon rolls

Cinnamon Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1-3 Tbsp whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and spray a 9in deep pie dish with baking spray.
  2. In medium bowl, mix together the apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and mix together.
  3. Unroll the pie crust, and place into a 9in deep pie pan.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie shell.
  5. Place the cubed butter over the apple pie mixture.
  6. Place pie onto a cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 450 degrees and then bring the oven temp down to 350 degrees, continue baking for 30-45 minutes or until the center is set and the edges are a nice golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes.
  9. Bake the cinnamon rolls according to the package directions.
  10. Once they are baked, allow to cool for 5 minutes. Place the rolls on top of the baked apple pie.

Cinnamon icing directions

  1. Using a small bowl, whisk all ingredients together until combined and smooth.
  2. Pour into a piping bag.
  3. Cut the tip and drizzle the icing over the pie.
  4. Cut and serve!
