Cinnnamon Roll Sausage Mummies
Report
With just three ingredients and 20 minutes of time you can whip up these adorable Cinnamon Roll Sausage Mummies for your little ones! We take canned cinnamon roll dough, roll it out, cut it into strips and then wrap around fully cooked maple turkey sausage patties. We use the frosting included with the cinnamon rolls to "glue" eyes on to each mummy and then drizzle with more frosting. The perfect Halloween breakfast!

Ingredients
- 1 .3 oz can original cinnamon rolls (5 count)
- 6 fully cooked maple turkey sausage patties (must be patties), thawed if frozen
- 1 package Candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray or cover with parchment paper.
- Remove sausage from package. Let the start to thaw while you make the mummy strips.
- Take each cinnamon roll and place on a cutting board lightly dusted with flour. Lightly dust a rolling pin with flour as well. (If you don't have a rolling pin you can use a glass jar or cup). Roll each cinnamon roll out into a five-inch rectangle or oval. You want to be able to create nice long strips to wrap the sausages. Use a sharp knife to cut each cinnamon roll vertically into 1/4-inch strips (each strip should be 5-inches long).
- Take the strips and wrap them around each sausage patty. Overlap some of the strips so they look like mummy wrapping. Be sure to leave an 1/8-inch gap at the top of the sausage for the eyes later. When wrapping secure the edges of each strip on the back of the sausage so it appear there is one long strip of cinnamon roll.
- Transfer mummies to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 6-7 minutes or until the cinnamon roll strips are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly so the eyes stick.
- Transfer the included icing to a small ziplock baggie. Cut the corner off. Squeeze two small dots on the reserved sausage strip on each mummy. Place one eye on the frosting to glue down. Drizzle remaining frosting over each mummy. Serve!
